Virtual Advent Calendar: Day 22

So this year I thought I'd do some festive baking that I'd never tried before. I raided the cupboard, googled a few ingredients and here's what I came up with:

...my gingerbread house. Now not only have I never baked gingerbread before but I've never even tasted it, but I have to say it's lovely! If I'd have been better prepared I'd have bought some jellied sweets and some candy canes to add a little bit of color but it was a bit of a last minute idea so I had to make do with piping icing out of a plastic food bag.
